World Cup Points Boost
Last updated July 10, 2026
During the 2026 World Cup finale week, trading on Hyperdict earns a share of a $1,600 USDC reward pool, paid out from match-day pools in proportion to the Prediction Points you earn on each match day. World Cup markets earn multiplied Points inside the event windows below, so World Cup trading is the fastest way to grow your share — but every market counts. No registration, no opt-in: trade during the event and you’re in.
Event period
The program runs from July 14, 2026 00:00 UTC through July 19, 2026 23:59:59 UTC. That covers both semi-finals, the third-place match, and the Final. It ends automatically — fills after the end of the event period earn the normal 1x rate and no pool share.
Match-day reward pools
The whole $1,600 lands on the four match days, weighted to the Final. Each match day (00:00–24:00 UTC) has a fixed USDC pool, split pro-rata by the Points you earn that day. The boosts only fire around matches, so no-match days carry no pool — every dollar goes where the trading is:
- July 14 & 15 (semi-finals) — $350 each.
- July 18 (third-place play-off) — $200.
- July 19 (Final) — $700.
- Total: $1,600 USDC across the event.
Your share of a match day’s pool = your Points earned that day ÷ all Points earned that day. Points from every market count toward that day’s share — non–World Cup markets at the normal 1x rate, World Cup markets with their boosts — so boosted World Cup volume weighs proportionally more. The champion market still earns 2x Points throughout the event, but has no dedicated pool. Days are cut by each fill’s execution timestamp in UTC. Pool sizes may be adjusted prospectively (announced before a day starts, never retroactively).
Eligibility
- Every Hyperdict account is eligible — wallet and Google logins alike. There is no minimum volume, no sign-up, and no per-wallet cap.
- Only app-attributed fills count: orders placed through Hyperdict (which carry our builder code on Hyperliquid). Trades on the same markets placed through other frontends or directly via the API do not earn Points here.
- Both sides of the book participate: the boost applies to your fills whether they were taker or maker executions.
- Participation is subject to Hyperdict’s Terms of Service and is not available where prohibited. Because trades execute on Hyperliquid, its jurisdiction restrictions apply too: under Hyperliquid’s Terms of Use the interface is closed to residents of the United States or Ontario (Canada), sanctioned/export-controlled jurisdictions, and restricted territories. It’s your responsibility to ensure trading is permitted where you are.
Covered markets
- Match markets — every World Cup fixture market listed on Hyperdict during the event period (semi-finals, third place, Final).
- Champion market — the “2026 World Cup Champion” multi-outcome market, all remaining team outcomes.
All other markets (crypto, macro, other sports, news, politics) stay at the normal 1x rate for the whole event.
Base scoring — how Points work
Points accrue continuously at 50 Points per $1 of qualifying volume. Qualifying volume is net exposure, not gross churn: per wallet and per outcome we sum your YES-equivalent notional with sign (buy YES / sell NO count +, sell YES / buy NO count −) and score the absolute value of that sum over the outcome’s lifetime. See the How it works page for the full Points explainer.
The event reward pools add two rules on top of base scoring, so Points go to real risk rather than volume padding:
- New exposure only (high-water mark). Per market, only the amount by which you push your position to a new peak earns event Points. Buying then selling the same position — even across different days — doesn’t re-earn; only genuinely new exposure counts.
- 5¢–95¢ price band. Only fills priced from 5¢ to 95¢ count. Trades on near-certain outcomes (above 95¢ or below 5¢) carry almost no risk, so they don’t earn event Points.
Event multipliers
Total Points for a fill = qualifying USD × 50 × boost. The boost depends on which market you trade and when the fill happens:
- 3x — match window. Fills on a match market from 12 hours before scheduled kickoff until 2.5 hours after kickoff.
- 5x — in-play. Fills on a match market from kickoff until 2.5 hours after kickoff (the live portion of the match window; it supersedes the 3x rate). The window is a fixed duration from scheduled kickoff — it doesn’t track stoppage time minute-by-minute. The Final gets a longer 4-hour in-play window so it still covers extra time and penalties.
- 2x — champion market. All fills on the champion market for the entire event period, around the clock.
- 1x — everything else. Non–World Cup markets, and World Cup match fills outside their windows.
Multipliers do not stack: a fill gets exactly one boost — the in-play 5x inside the live window, otherwise the match 3x inside the pre-match window, otherwise the champion 2x on that market, otherwise 1x.
Timing rules
- All windows are defined in UTC and keyed to each fixture’s scheduled kickoff time as published on the World Cup event page.
- The boost is decided by each fill’s timestamp — the moment your order actually executes on Hyperliquid, not when you placed it.
- No retroactivity, ever. Because boosts key off fill timestamps, trades made before the event stay at 1x, and re-computing scores after the event always reproduces the same totals. Your boosted Points can never be recalculated away.
Rewards & carry-over
- You earn two things at once: USDC from the daily pools (your pro-rata share, see above) and the Prediction Points themselves, credited into your existing lifetime total — the same balance shown on your Points page and the leaderboard.
- USDC pools are settled per day — shortly after each event day ends (00:00 UTC) its pool is frozen into a snapshot — but paid out in a single claim for the whole event. Claiming opens 24 hours after the event ends (Jul 21 00:00 UTC); one click on the World Cup page pays all your daily rewards together.
- Claiming credits the USDC straight to your Hyperliquid account — no gas, no signature — and from there you can withdraw it anywhere from the Deposit / Withdraw dialog. The Hyperliquid transfer fee is on us: you receive your full reward.
- Points carry over permanently. Boosted Points earned during the event stay in your total after it ends, exactly like normal Points.
- Points accrue as your fills are indexed — typically within ~15 minutes of trading. The Rewards tab shows your running daily share.
Anti-abuse
- Wash trading doesn’t score. The net-exposure rule means buying YES and NO together nets to ~0 qualifying volume, and buy-then-sell round trips also net to ~0 — multiplying zero still pays zero. Only directional risk actually held earns Points.
- Re-cycling capital doesn’t score — the high-water-mark rule means only new peak exposure earns, so toggling a position across days can’t re-farm the same funds.
- Near-certain volume doesn’t score — the 5¢–95¢ price band excludes fills above 95¢ or below 5¢, which carry almost no risk.
- Fills without our builder attribution earn nothing (see Eligibility).
- Markets that are paused, halted, or already resolved don’t generate qualifying fills.
- We reserve the right to zero out scores from self-trading, circular volume, or other manipulation, and to correct obvious scoring errors.
Worked examples
- $100 on a semi-final, 3 hours before kickoff → match window 3x → 100 × 50 × 3 = 15,000 Points.
- $100 on the Final at half-time → in-play 5x → 100 × 50 × 5 = 25,000 Points.
- $100 on the champion market any time during the event → 2x → 100 × 50 × 2 = 10,000 Points.
- $100 on a match market two days before kickoff → outside the window → 1x → 5,000 Points (normal rate).
FAQ
- Do I need to hold to settlement? No — the boost applies to qualifying volume at fill time. But remember qualifying volume is net exposure: closing a position before settlement reduces the net that scores.
- What if a match goes to extra time or penalties? The in-play window is a fixed duration from scheduled kickoff — 2.5 hours for the semi-finals and third-place match, and 4 hours for the Final, so it covers extra time and penalties.
- Does this change the base Points rate? No. 50 Points per $1 is unchanged everywhere; the event only multiplies World Cup fills inside windows.
- Where do I see my event Points? Your Points breakdown shows per-outcome detail; the World Cup event page shows the event-period leaderboard.
